My Story
I’ve always been drawn to the healing arts and the unseen mystery of life. This life-long inquiry led me to a career in spiritual psychology, and for three decades I’ve worked as a licensed psychotherapist and trauma specialist, helping others navigate the deeper layers of healing and transformation.
Over the years, I became increasingly attuned to the mind-body connection — how unprocessed experience lives in the nervous system and cells. This led me to study somatic therapies, nervous system regulation, and body-based approaches to trauma resolution. In parallel, I was deepening my spiritual practice, studying yoga, Eastern philosophy, and eventually finding my home in Tibetan Buddhism, which I’ve practiced and trained in for over 20 years.
Through my own life passages — including illness, loss, awakening, and the long retreat I entered in 2018 — I began to recognize that psychological healing and spiritual awakening are not separate paths. They are interwoven. And often, they follow a deeper rhythm that has been described in myth and spiritual traditions across cultures: a journey of descent, inner reckoning, transformation, and return.
This is often called the Hero’s Journey — or, in the feminine arc, the Heroine’s Journey. At some point, we are all called to shed outdated roles or identities, to face the unknown, and to listen for a deeper truth that wants to emerge through us. These archetypal journeys — though deeply personal — are also profoundly universal. They remind us that we are not alone.
